Textile floor coverings — Determination of mechanical damage at a cut edge — Modified Vettermann drum tester method

The principle of the method is randomly rolling a metal ball with six rubber studs inside a rotating drum which is lined with the specimens. The specimens have an inclined longitudinal cut down the centre. After fatiguing, the mechanical damage of the cut edges is assessed.
