Leather — Determination of absorption of water

Immersion, for a measured time in destilled water at a specified temperature, of a test piece of specified pattern and known mass or volume. Using a Kubelka apparatus made of glass. Method is applicable to all types of leather, in all types of tannage, in all stages of dressing.
